Thief Leaves Empty-Handed After Making Bomb Threat At KFC

GREENSBORO -- A man who tried to rob the East Bessemer Avenue Kentucky Fried Chicken Tuesday afternoon by threatening to blow up the business, left without any money after the clerk told him she couldn't open the register, Greensboro police said.The man, described as white, with a medium build, a goatee and tattoos on both arms, handed a note to the clerk around 3:30.The man left and was last seen driving toward Bessemer Avenue in an older white Chevrolet or Buick. Police said the car had damage to the passenger side.
