Two Greensboro Men Wanted For Killing

GREENSBORO -- Greensboro police are searching for two men they consider armed and dangerous.Brandon Lamar Byrd, 18, and Sandy James Oates, III, 19, are wanted in connection with the July 16 killing and armed robbery of Donte Garner.Police found the 27-year-old Garner suffering from multiple gun-shot wounds at the St. James Homes on South Eugene Street.
He was taken to Moses Cone Hospital where he later died.Oates has fled in previous cases to South Carolina, police said. He has previous charges of common law robbery and drug possession.Byrd has previously been charged with assault to a government official, drug possession and communicating threats.Anyone with information is asked to call Call Crimestoppers at 373-1000.
