GREENSBORO -- A former Guilford County teacher has been arrested and charged with having a sexual relationship with a student.
Former Teacher Charged With Having Sex With Student | Add A CommentLeanne Elizabeth Macklin, 26, a former drama teacher at Weaver Academy, was charged with sexual activity between school personnel and a 17-year-old student.
The first alleged incident happened in Decemeber 2006.Five warrants against Macklin were issued on July 21. Police said she is only suspected of having sex with one student.Macklin turned herself in Wednesday and was released after posting a $25,000 bond.Greensboro police said the case is still under investigation.Macklin was hired by the school system in August, 2005. She resigned on June 16.Anyone with information was asked to call Crimestoppers at 373-1000.
