Getaway Car Runs Out Of Gas; Woman, Man Arrested

EDEN, N.C. -- Deputies in Eden said they were investigating a case of a man who was caught in the act of robbing a convenience store and an accomplice who didn't get far after her getaway vehicle ran out of gas last Thursday evening.Sheriff's department spokesman Dean Venable said a North Carolina trooper saw a man inside the Two Brothers convenience store on N.C. Highway 770 in Eden. Venable said a deputy was then dispatched to the store and found Christopher Ray Holland, 36, of Reidsville, hiding in a bathroom.An accomplice, Crystal Dawn Fain, 29, was found near the scene, deputies said, after she had tried drive away from the area. Deputies said her vehicle was out of gas.
Holland and Fain were both charged with breaking and entering. Holland was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
