WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- It was a rude awakening for several residents in the Ardmore neighborhood Monday morning, after thieves broke into nearly a dozen cars, leaving owners making call for repairs and replacement of stolen equipment. The string of break-ins cover about six to seven blocks, and were first discovered around 5 a.m."I woke him up and told him the light was on in his car and he told me to come out here to check it," Jamal Smith, whose car was broken into told WXII. "The radio was taken out and I called police."
Police haven't said if they have any leads in the crime."I just want to see them pay for damage for what they've done -- do some time -- learn a lesson from it," another victim said.
