Mount Airy Woman Charged In Fraud Case By Greensboro PD

GREENSBORO -- A Mount Airy woman has been arrested on numerous charges in connection with a fraud case from the Greensboro Police Department.Yolanda Delarosa Reyes of Mount Airy was charged with three counts of obtaining property by false pretense and is currently in the custody of the Surry County jail under a $100,000 bond. Reyes is accused of defrauding victims of more than $65,000, according to a release by the Greensboro Police Department Monday afternoon.A search warrant was recently executed at Reyes’ home in Mount Airy. Greensboro Police detectives were assisted by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office, Surry County Animal Control and Immigration and Customs Enforcement Units.
Greensboro Police detectives have 15 additional charges for obtaining property by false pretense, three charges for practicing law without a license and several other charges including common law forgery, according to the release.The Greensboro Police Department requests that anyone with information about this crime call Criminal Investigations at (336) 373-2255.This article appeared in Tuesday's edition of the Mount Airy News.
