Deputies: Teen Gang Members Caught Spraying Graffiti

BURLINGTON -- Two teenagers, allegedly members of a female street gang, and an unidentified juvenile were arrested and charged Monday after authorities said they spotted them spraying gang graffiti on a county building.Alamance County deputies said they arrested Margarita Luciano, 16, and Alicia Luciano, 17, both of Burlington. The two were charged with injury to real property, inhaling a toxic substance, and resisting/obstructing and delaying an officer.Petitions were also taken out against a 15-year-old boy.
Deputies said the girls were members of the South Side Chicanas street gang. The boy was said to be a member of the BDS 13 gang.Deputies said they caught the trio while doing surveillance in the area in response to recent gang activity, and that when they spotted the suspects they fled on foot.The graffiti was being sprayed on the Alamance County Transportation Building on Graham Hopedale Road, deputies said.
