Cameron Kent has been a reporter and anchor at WXII 12 News for more than 22 years. Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, he is a 1979 graduate of Wake Forest University.

Cameron says "Street reporting, making a difference with stories like Crimestoppers, and using the airways to promote charitable causes" are his favorite parts of working at WXII 12. He's active with Samaritan Ministries, the March of Dimes, building houses for Habitat for Humanity, and volunteering at school.

Cameron and his wife, Sue, have two children and a Labrador Retriever named Samantha. Together they enjoy playing golf, tennis, camping, fishing, running and listening to music. They're active members of Highland Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem.

Cameron also loves creative writing and has had movies he's written appear on NBC, HBO, Lifetime and at the American Film Institute. He also has two novels, "Make Me Disappear" and "When the Ravens Die" among his credits.

His proudest professional achievements are his 11 Emmy nominations for news reporting, and winning an Emmy for his coverage on the Pentagon in the aftermath of 9-11. He also twice swept the media awards for 'Crimestoppers' International. However, his most embarrassing moment is signing off by saying "I'm Clark Kent".
