Vikings Sign DT Kennedy

POSTED: 6:14 pm EST December 3, 2008

(Sports Network) - One day after defensive tackles Pat Williams and Kevin Williams were among six players suspended four games for a violation of the league's policy on anabolic steroids and related substances, the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday signed former first-rounder Jimmy Kennedy.

Kennedy, who was originally taken 12th overall by St. Louis in 2003, appeared in six games with Jacksonville this season before he was released on November 24.

For his career, the Penn State product has recorded 98 tackles and five sacks in 62 games with the Rams, Bears and Jaguars.
