Jacksonville, FL -- (Sports Network) - The Jacksonville Jaguars placed cornerback Rashean Mathis on injured reserve Thursday with a knee injury.

Mathis, who leads the team with four interceptions, sprained his medial collateral ligament in the Jags' Monday night matchup at Houston.

A second-round pick in 2003 and a Pro Bowl selection in 2006, Mathis has 40 tackles and one sack this season. In 90 career games with Jacksonville, he has accumulated 374 tackles, one sack, three forced fumbles and 25 interceptions.

In related roster moves, the team signed defensive end Mkristo Bruce from the practice squad to the active roster and signed defensive back Travarous Bain to the practice squad.
